Cimarex invested $313.0M in exploration and development (E&D) during the first quarter, of which $264.0M is attributable to drilling and completion activities.  First quarter investments were funded with cash flow from operations.  Total debt at March 31, 2023 consisted of $1.50B of long-term notes.  Cimarex had no borrowings under its revolving credit facility and a cash balance of $464.0M.  Debt was 35 percent of total capitalization.

XEC has the market capitalization of $9.25B and its EPS growth ratio for the past five years was 2.20%. The price to book ratio of the Company was 3.28 while its return on investment ratio stands at 11.70%. Price to sales ratio was 4.54 while 98.20% of the stock was owned by institutional investors.
